Back to making.

A welcome holiday form the day jobs has arrived, providing me time to pause, look at my work and contemplate how it might move on. Sketchbooks still dominate, whilst I am out of a studio, but once again I feel as though they are building towards a finished collection. As always I am not short of ideas, just the hours in which my hands can catch up with my brain and make everything I dream about. Materials are being gathered and designs drafted for work ranging in subject and mediums. Sculpture, animations, drawings and prints are all on my mind. A visit to Glasgow and Edinburgh will hopefully help to resolve questions and provide a change of scenery in which to spur me on. New perspectives are always and empowering stimulus for growth and change. This week I return to the farm to help with a pre Easter harvest. I'm sure the spring chickens, Jersey Royals and new growth will re-connect me with the world outside, reviving and refreshing ideas old and un-addressed.
